Baby Back Ribs

Fall-off-the-bone tender, caramelized glaze

Ingredients

  • 2 racks baby back ribs (about 4 lbs)
  • 3 tbsp brown sugar
  • 2 tbsp paprika
  • 1 tbsp chili powder
  • 1 tbsp garlic powder
  • 1 tbsp onion powder
  • 1 tsp cumin
  • 1 tsp black pepper
  • 1 tbsp salt
  • 1 cup BBQ sauce

Instructions

  1. Remove membrane from back of ribs (slide knife under, grab with paper towel, pull off).
  2. Mix spices for rub. Apply generously to both sides.
  3. Wrap each rack tightly in foil. Place on baking sheet.
  4. Bake at 275°F for 2.5-3 hours until tender and meat pulls back from bones.
  5. Unwrap. Brush with BBQ sauce.
  6. Broil until sauce caramelizes.
  7. Rest . Cut between bones.

Notes

  • Removing membrane is essential.
  • Foil wrap keeps them moist.
  • Broiling gives caramelized finish.
