Ranch Dressing

Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup mayonnaise
  • 1/2 cup sour cream
  • 1/2 cup buttermilk
  • 1 Tbsp fresh chives, minced
  • 1 Tbsp fresh dill, minced (or 1 tsp dried)
  • 1 Tbsp fresh parsley, minced
  • 1 clove garlic, minced
  • 1/2 tsp onion powder
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper
  • 1 tsp lemon juice

Instructions

  1. Whisk together mayonnaise, sour cream, and buttermilk until smooth.
  2. Add chives, dill, parsley, garlic, onion powder, salt, pepper, and lemon juice.
  3. Whisk until combined. Taste and adjust seasoning.
  4. Refrigerate at least before serving to let flavors meld.
  5. Thin with more buttermilk if needed for dressing consistency. Keep thicker for dipping.

Notes

  • No buttermilk: Mix 1/2 cup milk with 1/2 Tbsp lemon juice. Let sit 5 minutes.
  • Dried herbs: Use 1 tsp each dried chives, dill, and parsley if fresh aren't available.
  • Make it a dip: Use less buttermilk for thicker consistency.
  • Storage: Refrigerate up to 1 week.
  • Greek yogurt: Substitute for sour cream for a lighter version.
