Garlic Bread
Buttery, garlicky, and crispy on the outside. The perfect side for pasta night.

- 1 loaf French or Italian bread
- 1/2 cup (1 stick) butter, softened
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 Tbsp fresh parsley, minced
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 1/4 cup parmesan cheese, grated (optional)
Instructions

- Preheat oven to 400°F.
- Slice bread in half lengthwise.
- Mix softened butter with garlic, parsley, salt, and parmesan if using.
- Spread garlic butter generously on cut sides of bread.
- Place bread cut-side up on a baking sheet.
- Bake until edges are golden and butter is bubbling.
- For extra crispy, broil . Watch carefully.
- Slice and serve immediately.
Notes
- The bread: French baguette, Italian loaf, or ciabatta all work. Use day-old bread for extra crunch.
- Garlic options: Roasted garlic for a milder, sweeter flavor. Raw for more punch.
- Cheesy version: Add mozzarella on top for the last 3 minutes of baking.
- Make ahead: Prepare garlic butter up to 1 week ahead. Refrigerate.
- Freezer friendly: Spread butter on bread and freeze. Bake from frozen, adding a few minutes.
